What the water service line is
Your water service is the buried line from the utility meter to your house. The utility owns the meter; everything on the house side is yours. When it fails you'll usually see a soft, wet spot in the yard, a meter that spins with every fixture off, or pressure that dropped for no reason.
Repair or replace
A single break in an otherwise sound line can be repaired. But old galvanized, polybutylene (the gray plastic pipe) and thin-wall copper tend to fail in more than one place, and a second dig costs as much as the first. We'll tell you which situation you're in and price both options.
New service lines
We install new water services in PEX or Type K copper, sized to your home's demand, with a new main shut-off and pressure regulator where needed. For new construction and additions we coordinate with the water utility on the tap and meter and handle the Kentucky plumbing permit.
Pressure problems
