If you smell gas right now
Leave the house, don't flip switches or light anything, and call your gas utility's emergency line or 911 from outside. Once the utility has shut the gas off and made the area safe, call us. We locate the leak, repair or replace the bad section, pressure test the whole system and help you get service restored.
Gas leak detection and repair
A faint smell near a stove or water heater, a hissing fitting, a gas bill that climbed for no reason, or a utility tech who red-tagged your meter — those all mean the piping needs a proper test, not a sniff and a shrug. We isolate the system, put it under test pressure, find the leaking joint or corroded pipe, and fix that section with new black iron or CSST rated for the job.
New gas lines for appliances
Switching to a gas range, adding a gas dryer, running a line to a grill, fire pit, patio heater, pool heater or standby generator — we size the line for the total load so the furthest appliance still gets full pressure, install a shut-off at the appliance, and test the run before it's connected. Outdoor lines are buried at proper depth with tracer wire and protected risers.
Gas water heaters, tankless conversions and remodels
A tankless water heater usually needs a bigger gas line than the tank it replaces, and a kitchen remodel often moves the range to a new wall. We handle the gas side of those projects alongside the water and drain work, so you have one plumber and one phone number for the whole job.
Pressure tests, inspections and utility paperwork
Adding a meter, restoring service after a long shutoff, or selling a house can require a documented gas pressure test. We perform the test, fix anything that fails, and coordinate with the utility so the meter gets turned on without extra trips.

- Do plumbers work on gas lines?
- Licensed plumbers do — gas piping is part of the Kentucky master plumber license, and we carry it (M638803). Not every plumbing company chooses to take gas work; we do it every week.
- What should I do if I smell gas?
- Get everyone outside first, then call your gas company's emergency number or 911. Don't use light switches, phones or anything electrical inside. After the utility makes it safe, call us to find and repair the leak.
- How much does it cost to run a gas line to a stove or grill?
- It depends mostly on distance and how the line has to get there — a run across a basement ceiling is very different from a buried line to a patio. We look at it, size it, and give you one written price before any work starts.
- Can you convert my electric range or water heater to gas?
- Yes, if your house has natural gas service. We check your meter's capacity, run and size the new line, install the shut-off and test it. Ask us about it — we'll tell you straight if the conversion makes sense for your home.
